About us

Lush Life Films has been operating in Thailand for many years now. The project first began in Spain as a simple way to give a name to personal film and photography work.

After moving to Mae Sot, a town on the Thai-Myanmar border, the focus of the project started to change. We saw how much interest there was in film and photography, especially among young people, but also how difficult it was for them to access the tools, spaces, and support they needed. From there, the project grew into more than just our own creative outlet. It became a way to open doors for others to explore their creativity and tell their stories in their own way.

About
Mae Sot

Mae Sot is a small farming town in Western Thailand, right on the border with Karen State, Myanmar. Over the years, it’s grown into a unique and complex place. It acts as a crossing point, a safe haven, and a home for many people displaced by conflict, instability, and economic hardship in Myanmar. Because of this mix, Mae Sot has become a kind of meeting ground, where different communities, cultures, and stories come together.

We chose this town as a base to be close to the people whose voices often go unheard, and to create space for storytelling that reflects the reality of life along the border.

Our Goals
